Overview of Course Contents: On 14th June 2022, Orbital Africa Ltd was contracted to conduct a detailed topographical survey on parcel: NGONG/NGONG/67488. The specific objectives of the assignment include but not limited to the following: (i) Conducting a General Survey of the parcel of land, confirming the property boundaries, acreage and beacons. (ii) Identification and location of features such as roads, drainages and other major features as well as the utilities. (iii) Conducting a detailed topographical survey of the parcel of land and creation of the topographical map with contours. The consultancy to conduct a detailed topographical survey on 977-acre to support agri-business activities was executed at Dakacha village in Kilifi County entailed organizing the stakeholder meeting and sensitization of the locals on the nature and scope of the topo survey project. In particular, the following tasks and activities were successfully executed: Bush clearing, General surveys to ascertain the location of beacons and the area of property parcels; Static Survey for the establishment of local GCPs and BMs using Stonex 800A and KQ Geo GNSS; conducted a detailed topographical, land and engineering survey works for entire 977-Acre block of land. | Details| Maps | CAD| Photos |

The 52-hectare Rumbiye water supply project at Rumbiye village in Funyula Constituency, Busia County entailed organizing for stakeholder meeting, sensitization of the locals on the nature and scope of the topo survey project. In a broader perspective, the following tasks and activities were successfully executed: Establishment of local GCPs and BMs using Stonex 800A and KQ Geo GNSS; detailed topographical, land and engineering survey works for entire 52 Ha catchment including one (1) school and one (1) hospital; levelling works was also done along proposed one (1) inlet pipeline and five (5) outlet pipelines; water distribution tank and water kiosks. | Details| Maps | CAD| Photos |
